  Biscuit in England is cookie in America, why?

  Yes, I have asked myself this question.

  Ah, because the English in England have more words to describe different things.

  Such as crumpet, is English muffin in the USA.

  Shortcake in America is sponge cake in Britain.

  Yorkshire pudding, sops up gravy from a prime rib roast.

  It is Yorkshire pudding over here too. lol

  You eat it with knife and fork, not a spoon.

  If you bake a biscuit in America, it can be smothered when done in jam and butter, or used as a strawberry shortcake base, or made into a savory sandwich with ham.

  You wouldn't put chocolate chips into a biscuit, and call it a cookie for tea.

  I am still a bit puzzled why cookie is American and in English England it is not.

  Could it be that in England, Cookie was the nickname for the hired cook?

  Toller Cranston, a Canadian award winning Ice Skating champion ,

  Was regal in his artistic bearing.

  He was the best ice skater, with much posing and ability.

  He was a real toiler at his task.

  His beverage of choice was French Champagne, rarely German made lager.

  To be a loiter , was not his game.

  He lives in Mexico now.

  At 65 he is a painter not an ice skater, anymore.

  i have been told by some in the cong that i don't seem to be as happy anymore..."what's wrong?

  " they ask..... i feel like screaming out "i'm not happy because i'm going insane living a sham fake life stuck in the org pretending to be a good ms and witness!".

  i really do feel it is taking a toll on me...and even the damn bros and sis are now seeing it!.

  StuckInARut2... It is a huge disconnect when one realizes TTATT. (The truth about the Truth™).

  It is like truly loving and sacrificing for someone for decades and then finding out they never really loved you at all. It was all a lie.

  It is devastating.

  Is it possible for you to step down from being a MS?

  Is it possible to take a pass on giving talks in the MS?

  Is it possible to do some fun things on the weekend and not do service or meetings?

  Is it possible to come home from week during the week, take a shower to relax, put some jeans and a T shirt on and not go to the KHall?

  Is it possible to start doing things that will give you pleasure and happiness now?

  sunday's lesson is a doosy, it's very good advice for all jws with professional skills and abilities to avoid offering up their time for any period over a week, lest they might get lured in to a sexual relationship with another man, woman or animal or perhaps incest?.

  why does the watchtower have problems with jws who have jobs that require long stays and travel?

  keeps them off welfare and provides for their familes, they are control freaks!.

Scene: Melanie is trying to protect Ashley from the Sheriff (Ashley has gotten shot and has a bullet wound from protecting Scarlett's honor) and Rhett says to the Sheriff in front of the Ladies Bible reading class, that Ashley is drunk from being up at Belle's place ((Rhett's girlfriend, Belle, is the mother of his child away at boarding school, and she also owns the local Brothel)) The Doctor's wife wants to know with wide eyed interest what does a whore house look like? Are there mirrors everywhere and chandeliers??? lol

  -----> So, I am all ears. lol How does this scene go, of a PO/COBE getting sex from someone other than his wife?

  -----> Was it his girlfriend on the side that he called ahead to meet him someplace specical and you guys pulled up in a parking lot and he met his old girlfriend) (or present girlfriend) there or she was waiting for him at a motel or her house and you guys just stayed in the car???

  -----> Hey, it would work to say he had a return visit and he had to bring her something.

  So, how did it go? How did it happen???

  at the request of bju, the nonprofit godly response to abuse in the christian environment (grace) is currently investigating the university for how it's handled sexual abuse.

  more than 100 people have come forward to grace investigators, and the report is due out in the next few months.

  boz tchividjian, the head of grace, believes christian organizations across the country have failed victims in similar ways, and that the protestant world could in fact be worse than the catholic church.

  article is basicqlly about families where a spouse is working away from home for an extended period, etc...a foot note says basically that some studies have shown that working away from home can cause serious consequences, such as infidelity, homosexuality, or incest.

  If this is in today's Watchtower (study... ???) (This is Sun . June 22, 2014, 10:45 AM) How do people sit there like bumps on a log, without laughing their heads off? I mean, you can only stifle a laugh so much... and this footnote is ridiculously , stupidly funny.

  THIS is what Jehovah God has spoken into the ears of The Anointed Ones at Bethel to write??? Does God not know he is speaking twisted and misleading sentences or did God say one thing to The All Great and Knowing Anointed Ones and they have written their own version of it and that is why there is always nu - lite going on??? lol

  Maybe god should have picked some University educated people to be His spokesmen, but usually educated people find out man has been on the Earth longer than WT/JW.org's 6,039 years. lol (6,000 years at 1975 + 39 to present 2014, in WT's calculations). lol

  I can only hope when innocent, naive Believers read that, they get up and leave and don't come back.
